On Thursday, I'll be meeting with a fellow teacher to prepare lesson plans for the first week of classes. I'm so glad she's willing to meet with me. I think it will be very helpful. :)
Besides all that fun stuff.. I've been relaxing most of the afternoon. I'm going to make corn chowder this evening for when Paul gets home from work at 8 tonight. His slow summer season is coming to an end, so he'll be coming home after 7 most evenings till next summer. Maybe I can make him get up at 5:30AM when I get up for work in 2 weeks, so he can get home earlier. haha! I've really got to settle into an earlier bedtime. I'm going to have to go to bed at 9:30 to get enough sleep. I'm going to enjoy staying up late at least for the next few days though!
Here are some random photos. The first is of the clematis out front. It had "rapid" growth while we were in Aiken over the weekend. I need to get a new trellis for it now.
The kitty cats sleeping up a storm in the sunshine....

Cool that you have a teacher to help you with lesson plans! That's great. You'll do great. Just one day at a time. It's a great motivation for getting up early, and your body will thank you for it!! Just drag Paul out of bed too, that way you will have more time together in the evenings!! ;)
Interesting article. The saturated fat one flies in the face of what mainstream dieticians would tell you! I've read so many studies saying that natural saturated fats are actually GOOD for most people, but sugar and white flour never are!
I try to reuse plastic bags as trash bags, etc., and for non-food shopping often use natural jute bags which are so pretty & last AGES!
Lots of love,
Mary
Enjoy your sweet last week off!!!! :) Great article! That was fun. Hugs, please pray we have safe travles tonight! 7 hours in car! Love you!
hugs from middle of nowhere farm in poland. love you!
Hi Holly,
I have an interview with a Christian school here, tomorrow. I have had to pull out a bunch of my files from when I taught and found my lesson plan template. I re-did it this afternoon, so I could put lesson plans on my computer. I was wondering if you'd like a copy. If you had a Mac, you could use it as a spread sheet/table document. Do you have my email?
I pray that your first week is going excellently as you prepare for your students.
