School has started off well. It's actually been rather relaxing. I've been trying to get all my school work done during the week, so I have weekends off. I have more time to see family, to entertain guest, and to get involved in a church! Paul and I are enrolled in the church's newcomers class. It last until December, so hopefully we can start the 2010 as members there. We have been going to their small groups which have been really nice. The people are very friendly and it's nice to have good Christian fellowship.
School has been challenging. I'm in a linear algebra class which deals with three-dimensional mathematics, so I have had to do a bunch of studying for that class. That is my only on-campus class. The 3 other classes are online, so I have to frequently check the websites not to miss any assignments. Overall, I really enjoy college the second go round. During undergrad, all you want to do is graduate, but in grad school you can sit back and enjoy. It's a nice feeling. The material is harder, but I don't feel as stressed as I did in undergrad.
In the spring, I will have to get a teaching position, so I am going to start applying at the end of October for positions. It might be difficult with it being mid-year and the economy. However, if I don't I will have to do student teaching which is an unpaid full-time teaching job. With that, I would be taking over another teachers class while she observed and gave feedback which actually could be a good thing? Could be bad? Hopefully, I can get a job though. I can even get a job at a Christian or private school as long as I am teaching math 51% of the day and it's accredited. That is tricky with those types of schools because they like their middle school and high school teachers to teach many subjects.
Alright... I feel like I am talking to myself.. lol!
Picture time! Here are some pictures of curtains that have been added to the bedroom and dining room. These have been my most recent projects. Paul helped hang the curtain rods, so he did about 95% of the work. ;)
